The Island of Kauai
HAWAII WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER
Kauai Wedding Videographer
I've been filming weddings throughout Hawaii for more than a decade, and Kauai has always had a character all its own. From intimate North Shore celebrations to larger wedding weekends along the coast, the island has a way of making a wedding day feel a little slower and more connected.
My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, with a focus on the people, the atmosphere, and the moments that happen naturally throughout the day. The goal isn't to turn your wedding into a production. It's to make a film that brings you back to what it actually felt like to be there.
From Hanalei and Princeville to Poipu and the Na Pali Coast, Kauai offers an incredible variety of places to celebrate. But for me, the landscape is only part of the story. The people you're there with are what make the day worth remembering.

Kauai Wedding Venues
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to film weddings in some of Kauai's most beautiful settings, from oceanfront resorts to private estates and intimate North Shore celebrations. Each one has its own rhythm and gives a wedding day a completely different feel.
Whether you're planning a celebration in Hanalei, Princeville, Poipu, or somewhere a little more tucked away, I'll help you move through the day naturally so you can spend your time with the people who traveled all the way to Kauai to celebrate with you.
Filming Weddings on Kauai
Kauai is one of the most naturally beautiful places in Hawaii, but the scenery isn't the reason I make wedding films. The people are. The mountains, waterfalls, beaches, and lush valleys give a film its sense of place, but the moments I want to remember are the ones happening between them.
Kauai has a quieter, more intimate feel than some of the other islands, and that can shape the entire experience of a wedding day. From the dramatic coastline of the North Shore to the warm light and open beaches around Poipu, there are so many ways to experience the island without making the wedding itself feel like a production.
My goal is to let you stay present with the people you came to Hawaii for while I quietly document everything happening around you. The laughter, the nerves, the hugs, the little in-between moments, and all the things you probably won't notice until you watch the film years later.
While You're on Kauai
If you're bringing friends and family to Kauai for your wedding, I'd encourage you to make the most of the time together beyond the wedding day. Kauai is the kind of place where some of the best memories happen when nobody is in a hurry.

I film throughout Kauai, including Hanalei, Princeville, Kilauea, Poipu, Lihue, and the surrounding areas. Whether you're planning a wedding at a resort, private estate, beach, or another unique location, I'm happy to travel wherever your day takes you.

Kauai has a different pace than the other Hawaiian islands. It's lush, quieter, and incredibly easy to get away from the feeling that you're somewhere built specifically for tourists. The North Shore, in particular, has a slower and more intimate feel, while Poipu offers beautiful beaches, resorts, and easier access to restaurants and activities.
For a wedding film, that variety gives us plenty to work with, but I think the real appeal is being able to slow down and actually enjoy the people you're there with.

One of my favorite things about a destination wedding is having more time with the people you love. On Kauai, that might mean a day on the North Shore, a boat trip along the Na Pali Coast, exploring Waimea Canyon, spending an afternoon at the beach, or simply getting everyone together for a long dinner.

I have two favorites, and they couldn't feel more different: 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay on the North Shore and The Club at Kukuiʻula on the South Shore.
1 Hotel Hanalei Bay is probably my personal favorite. The setting is incredible, with the mountains and ocean surrounding the property, and the whole place has a relaxed, understated feel that I love. The North Shore itself is one of my favorite parts of Kauai, and the hotel does an amazing job of making the landscape feel like part of the experience.
The Club at Kukuiʻula has a completely different feel. It's more spread out, with a beautiful sense of space and a more private, residential atmosphere. Being on the South Shore gives it a different backdrop and a different pace from Hanalei, and it works incredibly well for a wedding weekend where everyone is staying and spending time together.
So if you're asking me which one I'd pick for myself, 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. But both are incredible places to get married, and I'd be genuinely excited to film at either one.
