The island of Lānaʻi

HAWAII WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER

Lānaʻi Wedding Videographer

lanai four seasons wedding

I've been filming weddings throughout Hawaii for more than a decade, and Lānaʻi is one of the most unique places to get married in the islands. It's quieter, more secluded, and feels a little removed from the rest of Hawaii. There aren't huge crowds or endless resorts. Instead, you have beautiful landscapes, a slower pace, and a wedding weekend where everyone can actually spend time together.

For me, that's what makes Lānaʻi so special. The setting is incredible, but the experience is really about the people you're there with. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, giving you space to enjoy the day while I document the moments happening naturally around you.

Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or bringing your closest friends and family over for a full wedding weekend, Lānaʻi gives you a chance to slow down and actually be present for it.

Big Island Wedding Venues

The Big Island has some incredible places to get married, especially along the Kohala Coast. I've had the opportunity to film at Kona Village, a Rosewood Resort, and it's one of those properties where the setting and atmosphere give you so much to work with.

Mauna Lani is another favorite, with a beautiful coastal setting and plenty of variety throughout the property. Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is another incredible option, with its oceanfront setting and classic Hawaii resort feel. And then there's Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, which has a completely different character and one of the island's most iconic beaches.

Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a full wedding weekend with everyone you love, there are some incredible options across the island.

Filming Weddings on the Big Island

The Big Island has a little bit of everything. You can start the morning overlooking the Pacific, drive through green ranch country around Waimea, and end the day somewhere that looks like another planet. That variety is part of what makes filming here so much fun.

The Kohala Coast is home to some of Hawaii's most beautiful wedding resorts, while Kona has its own laid-back coastal feel. Head inland and the landscape changes completely, with rolling pastureland, eucalyptus forests, and views toward Mauna Kea. Further south, Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park brings an entirely different side of the island into view.

Wherever your wedding takes place, my approach stays the same. I'm there to document the people and the feeling of the day without turning it into a photo shoot. The laughter, the nerves, the hugs, the happy tears, and everything happening between the big moments are what make your film yours.

While You're on the Big Island

If you're bringing your family and friends to the Big Island for your wedding, I'd encourage you to make some time to experience the island together. There's so much more here than beautiful beaches and resort pools, and some of the best memories can happen on the days surrounding the wedding.
